How We Keep ZeroDataUpload Free
Let's be straightforward about this: ZeroDataUpload makes money through advertising. That's it. There are no premium tiers, no "upgrade to unlock" features, no subscription plans lurking behind a paywall. Every tool on the platform is free for everyone, and ads are what make that possible.
We use Google AdSense to display ads on our pages. The revenue from those ads covers hosting costs, development time, and everything else that goes into running and improving the platform. We think this is a reasonable trade — you get free tools that don't touch your data, and you see some ads while using them.
What Ads You'll See
The ads on ZeroDataUpload are served by Google AdSense, which means Google's ad network decides which ads to show you based on factors like the content of the page and your browsing interests. You might see banner ads in different sizes, text ads, or occasionally an ad that opens in a new tab.
We don't pick specific ads or advertisers ourselves. Google's automated system handles that. What we do control is where ads appear on the page — we try to place them in spots that don't get in the way of actually using the tools.
Some ads may be personalized based on your browsing activity across the web. This is standard for Google AdSense and uses cookies to track interests. If that makes you uncomfortable, you have options (more on that below).
Your Choices
You're not stuck with personalized ads if you don't want them. Here's what you can do:
- Use our cookie consent banner to reject non-essential cookies when you first visit
- Adjust your preferences anytime through the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer
- Visit Google's Ad Settings to control what Google shows you across all websites
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings
- Use an ad blocker — we won't guilt-trip you about it
You can also opt out through industry tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA). These let you manage ad preferences across multiple networks at once.
What We Don't Share with Advertisers
This is important: the files you process on ZeroDataUpload never leave your browser. We can't share them with advertisers because we never have them in the first place. Beyond that, we don't share your email address, name, contact details, or any personally identifiable information with Google AdSense or any other advertising partner.
Google does collect some data through its ad scripts — things like your IP address (for approximate geographic targeting), browser type, and cookie identifiers for tracking ad interactions. This is how all AdSense-powered websites work, and Google handles that data under their own privacy policy.
Reporting a Problem with an Ad
If you see an ad that's misleading, offensive, or just seems wrong, let us know. We can report it to Google and get it reviewed.
Email us at leenasoftwaresolutions@gmail.com with "Ad Issue" in the subject line. A screenshot helps, along with a rough description of when and where you saw it. We'll acknowledge your report within 48 hours and follow up with Google if needed.
Legal Stuff
Our advertising practices comply with applicable regulations, including FTC advertising guidelines, EU advertising directives, Indian advertising standards, and California disclosure requirements. We require user consent for personalized ads in jurisdictions where that's required (like the EU under GDPR), and we respect opt-out choices across all regions.
